Because they offer gaming, most Las Vegas hotels can provide nice rooms with lower rates
than hotels in other cities. Rooms in Las Vegas Hotels usually come with one king size bed
or two double size beds (or two queen size beds). All rates quoted are for one or two
people, plus 9% tax for Strip hotels or 11% for downtown hotels. Some Las Vegas hotels do
not charge for children under age 12. Room rates are lower between Sunday and Thursday,
higher for Friday and Saturday. Most Las Vegas hotels do not take Saturday only
reservations. They prefer to sell Friday and Saturday nights together. Rates are much
higher when there are big conventions in town. For most Las Vegas hotels, check in time is
at 3:00 PM; check out time 11:00 AM. Some Las Vegas hotels have economy or motel rooms
with lower rates.
Because room rates change frequently, the range of rates for standard rooms shown below
are only indications to help customers choose a hotel. Rates for one-bedroom suites in Las
Vegas are about $160-300 per night. Rates for two-bedroom suites are about $400-700 per
night.

under 10 dollars. There are also many nice restaurants in most Las Vegas hotels. You can
enjoy delicious food from around the world.
Transportation from Airport to Las Vegas
Hotels
It is very easy to get to Las Vegas hotels from McCarran International Airport. Most Las
Vegas hotels are only 3-10 miles from the airport. There are shuttle bus services from the
airport to most Las Vegas hotels. Generally, it costs about $4 per person to take a
shuttle from the airport to a Las Vegas hotel on the Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard South) or
downtown. Taxi fare is about $10-$12 from the airport to most Las Vegas hotels on the
Strip; about $17-$20 to Las Vegas hotels downtown.
